Volunteers are an essential asset and help Trident Reach the People Charity in a variety of ways. They volunteer directly with our customers, in our offices or help to raise vital funds.


Trident Reach prides itself on supporting the development of individuals, and volunteering is a perfect example of this. Depending on your interests and skills, we can assist you in finding the right volunteering opportunity. We also have special opportunities for employee volunteering, young volunteers and university students.


Our volunteering services provide a huge variety of roles to people who are looking to gain experience in the charity sector, give something back to the community or even give something back to the charity that has supported them.

Office Volunteers

What does it involve?

Trident Reach’s offices support the front line work we do with vulnerable people by handling things like finance, human resources, fundraising, communications and tenancy support. By becoming an office volunteer you would help to keep the charity running smoothly and know that your work is making a difference to vulnerable people across the midlands. Office volunteering is also a great way to learn skills for employment or to gain experience in the voluntary sector.

In general, office volunteers either provide administrative support or undertake specific projects to develop Trident Reach’s work.

Many of our services working with vulnerable adults’ need office volunteers too; these volunteers’ help with the vital administration needed to keep the service running smoothly. If you want to contribute to Trident Reach’s work and enjoy working in an office, then this is the role for you.


Volunteers with Vulnerable Adults’

What does it involve?

Trident Reach has around 47 services across the Midlands, each working with vulnerable adults’ with a diverse range of needs from Mental Health Services to Homeless Services.

Trident Reach’s services cover a vast range of issues including disability, young people, Domestic Abuse, amongst others. Activities undertaken by volunteers include befriending and mentoring, helping to run day trips and acting as advocates. Depending on what services Trident Reach’s offers locally to you, your volunteering could involve supporting young mothers, children, young people or someone on receipt of care services.

Many of our services rely on volunteers to run their activities and benefit hugely from the personal and life experiences that a volunteer brings. Volunteering with vulnerable people can be rewarding, challenging and fun. One thing is for sure, it is never dull!


Fundraising Volunteers

What does it involve?

You can volunteer your time to raise money for Trident Reach and make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable adults’ across the Midlands. Volunteers can organise their own event or help at one of ours. Either way, you are bound to have a fun time and feel good about making a worthwhile contribution to Reach’s work.
