Investing in Our Community
We opened our first three fundraising charity shops towards the end of 2011. As well as providing vital income to help maintain our services, they also offer volunteering opportunities for customers to improve their job prospects.
We are also always looking for donations of stock for all of our charity shops and items can be dropped in to the premises or call us on 0121 226 5800 to discuss how we can get these from you.
More Than Vintage
Great Western Arcade, Colmore Row, Birmingham
The city’s first charity shop dedicated to retro and vintage clothes and accessories. Opened in partnership with SIFA Fireside, it raises funds for homeless services and has expanded to provide a clothing repair and tailoring service, vintage market and live music nights.
Trident House, Granville Square, Birmingham
This convenience store has been a great success, with a projected turnover of £75,000 a year and a £15,000 surplus. This has allowed us to provide valuable work experience to volunteers from our Learning Disability and Young People’s services to manage and develop the shop further.
Reach South Derbyshire
High Street, Swadlincote
The region’s only store fundraising solely for women who have suffered domestic abuse. It is also an informal drop-in service and information centre for local people wanting help and advice.
The store is in constant need for all kinds and sizes of good quality clothing – men’s, women’s and children’s. We also sell bedding, curtains, bric-a-brac, pictures, photo frames, candles, ornaments, books, DVDs, CDs, toys, games, shoes, belts and ties.
To donate items drop them into the shop in High Street or call 01283 212088 or 07733 000204.
Food Bank, Clothes Bank and Furniture Bank
Trident Reach the People Charity welcomes donations of food, furniture, kitchen appliances, bedding, cutlery, crockery and other household items. We are particularly in need of beds and mattresses.
